The Chairman of African Tourism Board, Cuthbert Ncube is attending the Africa Tourism Leardership Forum 2021 running along side the maiden edition of Rwanda Tourism week in Kigali, Rwanda, where it is expected that the organization will recognise the achievements of Rwanda in tourism space by awarding the country its Continental Tourism Awards for 2021.
The two events which are being held simultaneously at Serena Hotel present an opportunity for ATB to network the more with the tourism stakeholders in the country and beyond.
Cuthbert Ncube is being joined by one of the ATB Ambassadors in Rwanda, Doris Parson, who is also the CEO SRC Agency, a conferencing communication and Brand management company based in Rwanda and ATB’s Communications and Media member.
The climax of the engagements centered around Africa’s recovery plans, post Covid-19, where it was agreed on an urgent need for member States to stop working in silos.
“The demonstrative efforts by Rwanda in turning around the tourism sector to a positive outlook within a very short space of time has to be appreciated and applauded by all tourism stakeholders across the continent. ATB has noted this undeniable success story that should and must be emulated by member States with a oneness of purpose by reshaping the destiny of tourism in Africa with so much floras and opportunity for investment and tourists’ traffic within the continent“, Ncube said.
ATB, in its agenda has been advocating for a more coordinated approach for Africa to bounce back and emerge as a big player and a positive competitor within the global space.
