” It is a new Dawn as we Usher in the Voice of Africa by Africa in Africa. It’s the birth of the African Tourism Board (ATB) whose mandate is to drive the vision and the aspirations of more than 1,323,568,478 people in Africa.”
This was the words in April 2019 when Mr. Cuthbert Ncube accepted his nomination as the first Chairman of the African Tourism Board . When he accepted this assignment ATB was only an idea by a handful of well-meaning people.
Mr. Cuthbert managed to lead a team of Executive Council Members to convert this dream of a united African Tourism Board into reality.
Mr. Cuthbert worked tirelessly besides having a full-time responsibility as the owner of Kwela Fleet Management, a national organization.
ATB is now accepted as the leading multinational initiative for the travel and tourism industry on the African continent.
When COVID-19 threatened the continent, Mr. Cuthbert not only spoke out., but incorporated a Project Hope initiative to lead the discussion on how to maneuver through this ongoing crisis. This initiative included ministerial roundtables and multinational events.
Mr.Cuthbert was never tired to voice his views and leadership to the world in being a guest at many global events. Africa can be proud of Mr. Cuthbert Ncube, and his place in the International Hall of Tourism Heroes is well justified.
Mr. Ncube noted: “Am humbled and this is for each and every ATB Member who have made it possible to be where we are as an Organization.”
