All is now set for the hosting of a seminar by The Association of Nigerian Journalists And Writers of Tourism [ ANJET ] tagged “ANJET Tourism Seminar 2020” with the main theme “Tourism and Rural Development”. The seminar which also has as its sub-theme, “Post Covid-19: Recovery Strategies for Hospitality and Tourism sector in Nigeria” comes up on the 17th November, 2020 at Citi Height Hotel, Lagos from 10: 00 am.
According to a statement signed by ANJET president, Mr. Omololu Olumuyiwa, the seminar is organised on the sidelines of the United Nations World Tourism Organisation (UNWTO) World Tourism Day of September 27, every year. “With tourism seminar, ANJET sets agenda for Nigeria’s Covid-19 recovery”. He said.
Tourism leadership stakeholders expected at the seminar includes
the Minister for Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Director General, Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC), Mr. Folorunso Coker, Director General, National Institute for Hospitality and Tourism (NIHOTOUR), Alhaji Nura Kangiwa, Director General National Council for Arts and Culture (NCAC), Otunba Segun Runsewe, Mr. Ikechi Uko, Convener Akwaaba African Travel Market and PHAM. Uzamat Akinbile, Commissioner for Tourism, Art and Culture, Lagos State.
The statement also disclosed that aside Alhaji Mohammed who would be Special Guest of Honour, His Royal Majesty, Oba Abdulwasiu Omogbolahan lawal, Abisogun II, The Oniru of Iruland, Lagos as well as Oba Olusola Adeniyi Olaniyan, Ariwigbade Oshigin II,Onipokia of Ipokia Kingdom, Yewa, Ogun State, will perform the role of Royal Fathers of the Day.
