It was all excitement and hope during the official opening of the House of D’Licacy a none-alcoholic Winery, the first of its kind in Johannesburg, South Africa which was attended by more than 60 Personalities and celebrities including ATB Ambassadors.


The African Tourism Chairman, Mr. Curthbert Ncube who officiated the opening congratulated Ambassador Dimakatso Malwela, who has braved and defied the odds and effects of the pandemic in a demonstrative economic contribution with a unique, extensive and a wide variety of non-alcoholic wines.


This comes to fruition at a time when Tourism Industry is slowly and surely taking a positive turn. It is a new start of a new era for our wine Tourism in its unique offerings.


The brands that are housed at the the House of D’Licacy are all non-alcoholic called De-alcolised Merlot, Chennai Blanc, Sparkling white wines, Red wines and Sparkling white juice .

Asked of her future plans and what motivated her to venture into the space of Wine Tourism Demakatso responded “Confidence comes not from always being right but not fearing to fail”.

she further disclosed that urgent needs to reach out to the global market prompted her action. “Global expansion, as these unique non-alcoholic wines will find space in every dinner table across the world to be shared and enjoyed by Families.”


ATB acknowledges and supports these ventures where Women rise to the occasion in contributing towards our Economic Development.
