The Executive Chairman of Orile Agege LCDA Hon.
Johnson Sunday Babatunde today was received as the Special Guest of Honor and was presented with a Merit Award for Excellence by the Education District (1) at the Federal Government College,Ipaja Road at the occasion of the Annual Merit Award organized yearly by the District saddled with the responsibility of overseeing activities of Schools within Agege ,Alimosho and Ifako-Ijaye respectively.

This well deserved Award is precipitated by the outstanding contributions of the Hon.Babatunde led Administration on Education within the Local Council Development Area.It is therefore not out of place to say that Orile Agege Council Mayor’s agenda on education has manifested in his zeal to provide educational amenities in public schools.


In the last three (3) years,the Council Mayor has rehabilitated more than ten(10) Primary and Secondary schools, provided Desk and Benches, Exercise Books and other Educational materials to raise the standard of Education within the Council Area.

The Council Chair did this to compliment the efforts of the Lagos State Government saddled with the responsibility of providing structures in public schools.

The Award of Excellence was presented to the Executive Chairman by the Tutor General/Permanent Secretary of the District, Barrister Magareth Titilayo Sholarin amidst other recipients of the prestigious awards and dignitaries.

You will recall that Hon. Johnson Babatunde has won several awards in the recent time following his great strides at the community development, one of such was the prestigious Grassroots African Awards both in 2019 in Ghana and 2020 in Nigeria.
