In their quest to creating synergy among African tourism stakeholders, the Minister of Tourism & Environmental Affairs, Kingdom of Eswatini, Hon. Moses Vilakati has hosted the Chairman African Tourism Board, Mr. Curthert Ncube in his office at the capital, Mbabane today following his official working visit to the Kingdom .

It is at the backdrop of his visit that this beautiful Jewel of the African continent prides and offers travellers a memorable life time experience with so much explorations from the unique and exotic cultural activities to a wide range of the big 5s, as well as the Mountains which offer exhilarating eye catching and never to be forgotten experience as they behold a 350 degree view of the enchanting Eswatini.

This visit has strengthened and cemented the relationship between ATB, Tourism Ministry of Eswatini as well as other stakeholders in the travel and tourism space in particular.

Hon. Minister Vilakati however reiterated his commitment to continue playing a pivotal role in rebranding Eswatini and the continent at large as a destination of choice for would be tourists within Africa and beyond with the sole aim of encouraging business and Tourism Investment.


Kingdom of Eswatini has a population of about 1.2 Million people with a GDP of $4.5 billion Dollars and tourism contributing about 5.9% to the country’s GDP.

His Majesty, King Mswati III, the only absolute monarchy in Africa has put tourism as a priority towards the economic recovery from the devastating impact of covid- 19 pandemic that has set back the continental economies. His Majesty has appealed for a more integrated and synchronised approach from all member States to ease the continental and Regional trade areas appreciations as the continent advocates for a robust domestic market segment as a buildup to a very strong and lasting recovery.

Eswatini has initiated and started preparation to host a never seen before festivity that would display the diversed but uniquely one African cultures through which it hopes to celebrate the oneness that is prevalent within the continent with the aim of disseminating to the global community the unequivocal unity and togetherness that Africa possesses by next year.
