African Tourism Board, (ATB) the foremost tourism association in Africa has felicitated with the government and great people of Tanzania on the emergence of President Samia Suluhu as the first female and sixth President of the republic.

“On behalf of the African Tourism Board, I hereby extend our profound felicitation to the great Republic of Tanzania and the good people for ensuring a smooth transition of power to Madam Samia as the first female and the sixth president of our beloved Tanzania, ” said Cuthbert Ncube, The Executive Chairman African Tourism Board.

He further informed that Tanzania has always been a strategic partner in tourism development on the continent hence ATB will continue to engage the tourism sector of the country in order to maintain the conducive tourism/business relationship between them.

“Let me however assure you that ATB will not relent at engaging tourism stakeholders in Tanzania so as to ensure we keep the cordial relationship amongst ourselves”.


You will recall that Tanzania lost her indefatigable and people’s President, John Pombe Magufuli to the cold hands of death which neccessitated change of power to his vice who now becomes president.

Tanzania tourism sector is growing despite challenges with Covid-19 pandemic as well as the economic which experts said grew at 4% under late Magufuli.
