Amb. Dine Bouraima, Founder, Benin Royal Hotel, Cotonou has been awarded the prestigious Grassroots Africa Awards 2021 in the category of Africa Lifetime Achievements in Cotonou, Benin Republic over the Last weekend.
The event which has as its theme “POST COVID-19 PANDEMIC: WELL BEING OF AFRICAN COMMUNITIES” was organized by the renowned Kalo Africa Media based in Lagos but with a continental presence during the third editon of the Grassroots Africa Awards and Conference International (GAACI COTONOU 2021) where many other individuals within Benin, Africa and the Diaspora were also recognized at the coveted Benin Royal Hotel in Cotonou, the capital of Benin Republic.
Amb. Bouraima who also doubled as the event’s Patron has this to say.” Let me thank the organiser of this award, Mr. Kazeem Balogun for the initiative. It’s a honour to receive this award which attests to the fact that we are giving our own little contributions to the development of Africa and this also goes to tell us not to relent on our efforts at supporting the African communities. And let me implore other recipients not to relent also in order to encourage more people to support our communities as governments alone cannot do it all“.Bouraima said.
Amb. Dine Bouraima has been playing a pivotal role in the development of the continent by giving back to the society through his areas of endeavors.
He is also the President of Consortium Touristes Par Millions Au Benin (CTM) an organisation that is poised to ensure more tourists visits Benin Republic. He had also played an important role at the actualising visa on arrival regime for tourists visiting Benin Republic which has been yielding a positive result in terms of arrival for the destination Benin.
Other recipients of the the Grassroots Africa Awards included the Executive Chairman, African Tourism Board, Mr. Cuthbert Ncube who also received the Africa Lifetime achievement, Madam Chimene Sossah, ALA, Nana Albert Akoto Asare, ALA, Hon. Apata Samson Nunayon – African Champion and host of others.
About Grassroots Africa Awards and Conference International
The GAACI is the brain – child of Kazeem Balogun, CEO Kalo Africa Media which started at the renowned Airport View Hotel, Accra, Ghana in 2019 where many great personalities were recognised through their efforts, the second edition took place at the prestigious Rembrandt Hotels and Suites, Lagos, Nigeria and many individuals and organizations in charitable works were duly awarded.
The aim and objective of the initiative are to recognise individuals, corporate entities, government establishments, foundations and NGO’ s that are playing some roles at helping grassroots communities of Africans within and in tne Diaspora. To ensure those great minds receive a proper recognition. So far we have recognised many recipients with different categories of awards; African Champions, Africa Lifetime Achievements, African Leadership, African Rulership, African Heroes and The Legend of Africa.
Preparations for the 4th edition will kick – start in earnest which is expected to take place at another African destination next year.
