Kalo Africa Media and The Mercy Africa, organisers of second edition of Grassroots African Awards and Conference International, Lagos 2020 has recognised Dr. kehinde Kadiri, founder, Grassroots Aids Initiative for the second time as she received African Community Champion Award at a ceremony held in Lagos, Saturday at the prestigious De-Rembradnt Hotels and Suites, Lagos.
“It’s not only about the award, but about the legacy we are creating so that other people can emulate what we are doing especially at the Grassroots Aids Initiative” Dr. Kadiri said
The event, which had as its theme, “Covid-19 Pandemic: A Call To Rescue Humanity” aims at celebrating individuals helping at the various African communities by awarding and recognising them through this gesture.
“The aim is to recognise great individuals that are changing the narratives at various African communities. We have to celebrate and showcase them to the world to encourage them and also for other people can join them. We believe this individuals are complimenting governments efforts because governments can’t do it all. Said Kazeem Balogun, Convener of the event.
Grassroots Aids Initiative has been making great efforts at various rural communities in Nigeria, providing waters, foods, shelters,education and so much more thereby changing the narratives at those communities. https://tgai.org.ng/
