The unfortunate incident of the untimely demise of ms. moradeun balogun last year has transformed into something beneficial and lasting to the family and humanity at large.

            It was the birthing of moradeun balogun purple foundation at eko fm, multi-purpose hall, ikeja, Lagos, recently where family relatives, friends, well usher and government officials in attendance.           

Delivering her welcome address, Mrs. Opeoluwa balogun, the visioneer, was full of praise for her daughter with a strong mindset of bringing about changes in the response to accident victims in Nigeria.


‘The mission therefore is to immortalize moradeun, promote her vision, support victims of stabs, gunshot injuries and other types of fatal accidents who maybe unable to pay for their emergency medical bills, establish and maintain a support/network to families of stab, symbols and fatal accident victims: support/collaborate with existing reputable governmental and non-governmental organisations having similar interest within Nigeria and elevate the standard of prompt and accessible health care for accident victims in juxtasposing with work-value anywhere in the world.”balogun said.

She however believed that the health sector of Nigeria can be changed from the realities of negativity to a positive one.

“it is our believe that the health care system can be face-lifted in general administration within the polity by many of us seated here today”.

Speakers after speakers read their tributes such as Hon-commissioner for health Lagos, Mr. Emmanuel Akinola Abayomi who spoke via zoom sympathised with the family and also expressed the willingness of Lagos State Government at strengthening  the health sector with an assurance that victims of stabs or gunshot incidents would receive prompt and adequate response without police clearance in Lagos state, a law which he said has been passed and already in place.

also speaking, Hon fasiu Wale Raji, member house of representatives, Epe constituency II in Abuja, also informed the gathering that the ‘’Good Samaritan law’’ has been introduced through various bills in Nigeria of which Nigerians should henceforth help victims of stabs, gunshots, or any kind of accident without fear.

More tributes also came from various stakeholders one of which was the Red Cross Association through their commander who eulogized Moradeun’s virtues .

later on, a demonstration was also done to sensitize the audience about urgent steps to take in case of emergency situation in order to save more lives.

Mrs. Opeoluwa Balogun was later decorated with the highest ranking of the Red Cross for what she has been doing since the demise of her daughter.
