Death to many in Africa Zimbabwe as the pandemic claimed the live of the foreign minister of the country Sibusiso Moyo on Wednesday.
The government spokesperson, George Charauba attributed the minister’s causse of death to covid-19 pandemic.
“A man who fought tirelessly for a better Zimbabwe”. The spokesman said.
“We mourn the passing of foreign minister S.B Moyo. we remember him as a man who fought tirelessly for a better Zimbabwe. His honour, good grace and devotion to public service will be greatly missed by everyone here” The foreign ministry twitted.
Moyo as an officer was the one that went on air to announce the military take over of power from former late president Robert Mugabe.
It was his indefatigability at restoring sanity into the nation’s polity that earned within the position of foreign Affairs in Zimbabwe, having been the face of internal revolution against sit-tight government of Mugabe and attempt by the wife to take over power.
However the Zimbabwe Association of Doctors for Human Rights (ZADHR) has given a warning about the state of hospitals in the country which are unable to deal with the second wave of the pandemic.
