In a monumental stride for Nigeria’s creative economy and cultural tourism, all roads lead to Igbojaye, Oyo State today Saturday, April 12, 2025, for the grand opening of the KAP Film Village & Resort – a visionary project by award-winning filmmaker Kunle Afolayan in proud partnership with the Oyo State Government and the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, Tourism & the Creative Economy.

This historic occasion will be hosted by His Excellency, Governor Seyi Makinde alongside the Honourable Minister of Art, Culture, Tourism & the Creative Economy, Hannatu Musa Musawa bringing together industry leaders, cultural stakeholders, tourism enthusiasts, and international guests to witness the unveiling of a game-changing destination.

More than just a film set, the KAP Film Village & Resort is a celebration of Nigeria’s heritage and a living canvas for storytelling, creativity, and leisure. Nestled in the serene town of Igbojaye, the facility blends state-of-the-art film production infrastructure with eco-tourism, cultural immersion, and world-class hospitality.

Kunle Afolayan, known for championing indigenous narratives and cinematic excellence, envisions the Village as a hub where film, culture, and tourism converge—fostering talent, driving investment, and redefining Nigeria’s place on the global creative map.

This launch marks not only the birth of a landmark destination but also a renewed commitment by the Nigerian government and creative stakeholders to unlock the full potential of the arts for socio-economic transformation.
