Africa Celebrates 2025: Ethiopian Govt.,Legendary Gold Limited Sign MoU to Showcase African Heritage and Culture in Addis Ababa

Africa’s capital city, Addis Ababa is set to welcome the world for Africa Celebrates 2025, a prestigious cultural showcase, taking place from 4th – 9th November, 2025. This was made known by the Ethiopian Ministry of Tourism after signing an MoU with Legendary Gold Limited, one of Africa’s premier cultural event organizers, signalling a strategic officially kick off preparations for the high-profile event.

The MoU was signed yesterday at the Ministry’s headquarters in Addis Ababa by H.E. Dr. Endegena Abebe, Ethiopia’s State Minister of Tourism, and Mr. Lexy Mojo-Eyes, President Legendary Gold Limited.

The agreement cements Ethiopia’s role as the host of the 2025 edition of Africa Celebrates, a continent-wide initiative that honors African unity, creativity, and economic integration through culture, fashion, music, art, cuisine, tourism and creativity.

In his remarks, Dr. Endegena emphasized that Africa Celebrates 2025 will be a powerful platform to project the rich diversity of African heritage to a global audience. He further noted that hosting the event strengthens Ethiopia’s position as a leading MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) destination in Africa and reinforces the country’s brand as the “Land of Origins.”

Africa Celebrates is a collaborative initiative backed by Legendary Gold Limited in partnership with the African Union, the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA), the Diplomatic Corps and other continental bodies. The event is designed to foster pan-African unity while creating a platform for economic, cultural, and creative exchange among Africans at home and in the diaspora.

Having successfully hosted previous four editions, Addis Ababa’s selection once again signals confidence in the city’s infrastructure, cultural vibrancy, and diplomatic significance. Participants from across Africa, the Caribbean, the Americas, Europe, and Asia will converge in Ethiopia to witness and take part in a celebration of Africa’s enduring legacy and bright future.
