The prestigious Global Black Centre is in preparation to commemortate Black History Month, celebrate black excellence as it extended an invitation to fellow Africans and African-American to participate during its Annual Council Meeting, a landmark event scheduled to take place on February 11, 2025, at the Adwa Victory Memorial Museum in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
This significant gathering coincides with American Black History Month, reinforcing the deep historical and cultural connections between Africa and its diaspora. The event is set to lay the foundation for the first organized pilgrimage of African Americans to Ethiopia and the African continent, an initiative poised to strengthen Pan-African ties.
The Council Meeting will take place amidst a series of high-profile events in Addis Ababa, including the Summit of African Heads of State and Meetings of African Foreign Ministers, making February an especially transformative period for the Global African community. Additionally, another major event in the city will celebrate 28 distinguished African American heroines for their lifetime achievements, an occasion that has already attracted global media attention.
