NESG Introduces New Board Members: Adeniyi, Darwish and Alebiosu

The Nigerian Economic Summit Group (NESG) has announced the appointment of three distinguished professionals—Mr. Wole Adeniyi, Mr. Mohamad Darwish, and Mr. Olusegun Alebiosu—to its board. Meet the New Board Members

Wole Adeniyi
Currently the Chief Executive Officer of Stanbic IBTC Bank Ltd, Wole Adeniyi brings nearly three decades of expertise in technology, digital transformation, and banking operations. Known for his strategic prowess, Wole has played a pivotal role in enhancing Stanbic Bank Nigeria’s operations and technological landscape. With a first-class degree in Business Administration from the University of Benin and an MBA from the University of Manchester, he is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and a Certified Information Systems Auditor. Wole also serves on the board of Nigeria Inter-Bank Settlement System PLC (NIBSS), further solidifying his role as a leader in Nigeria’s financial ecosystem.

Mohamad Darwish
As the Chief Executive Officer of IHS Nigeria, the largest market for IHS Towers, Mohamad Darwish brings over two decades of experience in telecommunications. His leadership focuses on expanding IHS Nigeria’s operations, strengthening relationships with key stakeholders, and driving compliance with international standards. Holding advanced degrees in Engineering and Business Administration from Cornell University and Rollins College, Mohamad is passionate about initiatives that position Africa for long-term economic growth and sustainability.

Olusegun Alebiosu
Appointed as the Managing Director and CEO of First Bank of Nigeria Limited (FirstBank Group) in 2024, Olusegun Alebiosu brings 28 years of banking and financial expertise. His experience spans credit risk management, corporate banking, and project financing, among other areas. An alumnus of Harvard Business School and the London School of Economics, Olusegun complements his professional excellence with a rich personal life as an avid golfer and family man.
