Amb. Dine Bouraima Receives Prestigious African Tourism Leadership Award in Abuja

The President of the Africa-International Tourism and Economic Council (AITEC World), Amb. Dine Bouraima, has been honoured with the prestigious PanAfrican Tourism Leadership and Impact Award at the 9th National Tourism Transportation Summit and Expo 2026, organised by the Institute of Tourism Professionals of Nigeria (ITPN).

The award was presented on 28 July 2026 during the Gala Night held at Nicon Luxury Hotel, Abuja, Nigeria, following the successful conclusion of the two-day summit themed “Tourism and Transportation: Building Connectivity and Mobility for Sustainable Development.”

Receiving the award, Amb. Dine Bouraima expressed profound appreciation to the organisers for the recognition. He described the honour as both humbling and inspiring, pledging to remain steadfast in his commitment to advancing tourism, economic cooperation, and sustainable development across Africa.

“I dedicate this award to everyone working tirelessly to position Africa as a leading global tourism destination. This recognition strengthens my resolve to continue promoting tourism as a catalyst for economic transformation, regional integration, investment, and prosperity across our continent,” he said.

Presenting the award, the President of the Institute of Tourism Professionals of Nigeria, Ayo Olumoko, Board of Director of the institute and chief Abiodun Odusanwo described Amb. Dine Bouraima as a deserving recipient whose remarkable contributions have significantly advanced tourism development, regional collaboration, and international partnerships across Africa.

The latest recognition adds to a growing list of continental honours received by Amb. Dine Bouraima for his outstanding leadership in tourism and economic development. Earlier this month, he was also honoured at the EcoFinance Enterprises Awards in Dakar, Senegal, where both he and Benin Royal Hotel, Cotonou, were recognised for their outstanding contributions to Africa’s tourism and hospitality industry.

Amb. Dine Bouraima also serves as an Administrator of COPITOUR-ECOWAS and previously held the position of Vice President of the African Tourism Board (ATB), where he contributed immensely to strengthening continental tourism cooperation and fostering strategic global partnerships.
