LAGOS-
AITEC World made a remarkable impression at the 21st edition of the Akwaaba Africa Travel Market (AfTM), held at the Eko Hotel, Lagos, where it made a presentation and extended an open invitation to the global tourism community for the forthcoming Africa Tourism Dialogue (ATD) and 2nd launch of the organisation.
Representing the organization, the Vice President in charge of Communications and International Relations, Amb. Kazeem Balogun presented AITEC World’s vision, highlighting its mission to transform global tourism narratives through innovation, inclusivity, and sustainable partnerships. The Africa Tourism Dialogue – the first of its kind – is set to take place from 5th–8th November 2025 at the African Union (AU) Headquarters and the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA) in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, in collaboration with Africa Celebrates.
During the Lagos presentation, AITEC World unveiled its six pillars of strategic objectives, which serve as the backbone of the organization’s mission:
- Strenthen Africa’s and Global Tourism Brand
- Improve Mobility and Connectivity
- Drive Investment and Economic Growth
- Strengthen Policies, Data Collection and Innovation
- Promote Sustainable and Inclusive Development
- Integrate African and International Tourism
The Vice President also emphasized the benefits of joining AITEC World, noting that the organization provides a platform for governments, private sector players, investors, and cultural stakeholders to shape the future of tourism together.
The showcase served as more than a presentation – it was also a networking hub, as AITEC World engaged with prominent personalities, friends, colleagues, and business partners, exploring avenues for strategic collaborations and meaningful partnerships.
“ AITEC World’s Africa Tourism Dialogue is not just an event; it is a movement designed to reposition tourism as a catalyst for development, peace, and prosperity across Africa and the world,” the Vice President remarked.
