The reopening of Azalaï Hôtel Ouagadougou is particularly significant given its history. Formerly known as Azalaï Hôtel Indépendance, the establishment sustained extensive damage during the political unrest of October 30 and 31, 2014. After years of reconstruction, the hotel has now emerged as a symbol of resilience, modernity, and excellence.
The newly refurbished hotel offers an array of world-class amenities, including:
- 232 elegantly designed rooms,
- State-of-the-art meeting and banquet facilities,
- A luxurious swimming pool,
- A fine dining restaurant and two stylish bars,
- A serene environment suited for both business and leisure travelers.
With this reopening, Azalaï Hôtel Ouagadougou reinforces its position as a leading destination for business, tourism, and high-profile events in West Africa. The event not only celebrated the rebirth of an iconic hotel but also reaffirmed confidence in Burkina Faso’s hospitality and tourism sector as a driver of economic growth.
