The family of the late General Reverend Apostle Mother Rebecca Titilayo Sonde has announced her homegoing celebration, set to take place on April 24 and 25, 2025, in Abeokuta, Ogun State.
A revered spiritual leader, devoted wife, and loving mother, Apostle Mother Titilayo Sonde (née Ilori) passed away on February 18, 2025, at the age of 81, after a brief illness. She was the beloved wife of the late Supreme Head of Sacred Cherubim and Seraphim Church, Joseph Olusegun Sonde. Known for her deep faith, compassion, and unwavering commitment to family and ministry, she leaves behind a legacy that will forever be cherished by her children, grandchildren, siblings, and countless lives she impacted.
Final Rites and Celebration of Life
The family has outlined the funeral arrangements as follows:
- Wake-Keep Service: Thursday, April 24, 2025
- Venue: Sacred Cherubim & Seraphim, Ebenezer Communion, Adjacent First Option Filling Station, Oke-Ibukun, Abiola Way, Abeokuta, Ogun State
- Burial Service: Friday, April 25, 2025
- Venue: Sacred Cherubim & Seraphim Church, Ebenezer Communion, Adjacent First Option Filling Station, Oke-Ibukun, Abiola Way, Abeokuta, Ogun State
- Interment: To follow immediately after the church service
- Reception: Providence Event Center, by NNPC, Abiola Way, Abeokuta
A Life of Faith and Service
A pillar of faith and a devoted Christian, Apostle Mother Titilayo Sonde dedicated much of her life to worshiping God and caring for her family. Her humility, generosity, and unwavering belief in the power of faith will remain an inspiration to all who knew her.
Her children, in an emotional tribute, expressed their gratitude for her life and prayed for her eternal rest:
