Cotonou–
The stage is set for the third edition of the International Festival of Arts of Benin (FInAB) which will take place from 21 February to 2 March 2025 in Cotonou, the capital of Benin Republic. Following a successful press conference held yesterday at Nobila Airport Hotel, Cotonou. The event brought together entertainment captains, arts gurus, tourism stakeholders, renowned artists, fashion designers, and cultural enthusiasts local and international journalists in anticipation of what promises to be a vibrant showcase of Benin’s cultural heritage and artistic excellence.
FInAB, recognized as a major cultural event in Benin, continues to grow in prominence. The President of Empire Group, Mr. Ulrich Adjovi, who founder and convener of FInAB expressed his gratitude to the President of the Republic of Benin, His Excellency Patrice Talon, and his government while delivering his speech for their unwavering support and recognition of FInAB as a significant cultural event.

In his opening remarks, Mr. Adjovi emphasized the importance of government collaboration and shared what participants and attendees can expect in this year’s edition:
“I thank the President of the Republic, His Excellency Mr. Patrice Talon, and his government for the recognition of FInAB by the State as a major event in Benin. This year, the Beninese government is once again supporting us. I particularly thank the Minister of Culture, Tourism, and Arts, Mr. Jean-Michel Abimbola, for his constant and growing support. We aim to provide visibility for all forms of cultural expression, with a natural openness to emerging practices, which you will experience during the 10 days of this 2025 edition.”
Also speaking was Mr. Aristide Agondanou the artistic director of FINAB, who echoed same sentiments and highlighted the festival’s alignment with national development goals:
“FINAB is a festival that aligns with the ideals of the President and the government. We urge you to support the structuring and dynamism of FInAB. We thank you in advance for participating in the celebration of this third edition because, without you, we can do nothing.”
An Artistic Platform for Global Recognition
One of the highlights of the press conference was the participation of renowned artists one of who was JAHBABA, who expressed his excitement and pride in being part of FInAB, seeing the festival as is not only a celebration of Beninese culture but also a global platform that amplifies the voices and works of African artists.
“FINAB supports the work that artists like us have been doing for a long time. It gives us more strength to continue. Personally, this festival is a great source of pride because it helps me promote Benin more easily, especially in places like New York and beyond.”
