Web Summit Qatar 2025: A Record-Breaking Gathering of Innovation and Entrepreneurship

Web Summit Qatar 2025 has set new records, establishing itself as the largest startup gathering in the Middle East. Hosted at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC), this year’s event hit full capacity, welcoming 25,747 attendees from 124 countries, marking a significant increase of over 10,000 more attendees compared to last year. The summit has reinforced Qatar’s growing status as a hub for technological advancement and entrepreneurship in the MENA region.

A Global Tech Powerhouse

Bringing together 1,520 startups and 723 investors, Web Summit Qatar 2025 has become a key meeting point for entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders. The event also features 168 exhibiting partners, including global tech giants such as Amazon, Microsoft, Meta, TikTok, and Huawei, showcasing the latest advancements in artificial intelligence, fintech, healthtech, and more.

AI Takes Center Stage

Artificial intelligence (AI) continues to dominate the startup scene, with 17 percent of participating startups focusing on AI-driven solutions. Other leading sectors include Software as a Service (SaaS), Healthtech & Wellness, Fintech, and Education. This highlights the increasing role of AI and digital transformation in shaping the future of industries worldwide.

A Milestone for Women Entrepreneurs

Web Summit Qatar 2025 has also seen a remarkable rise in women-founded startups, now accounting for 47 percent of participating companies—a 51 percent increase from 2024. Additionally, 37 percent of attendees this year are women, reflecting a broader industry shift towards inclusivity and diversity.

Engagement and Networking at Scale

The event’s AI-powered networking system facilitated 120 new meetups, enhancing collaboration opportunities for startups, investors, and innovators. With 381 speakers tackling pressing topics such as AI, global policy, and climate change, Web Summit Qatar continues to foster discussions that shape the future of technology and business.

With record-breaking attendance, a surge in women-led startups, and a strong focus on AI and innovation, Web Summit Qatar 2025 has solidified its position as the MENA region’s premier technology and entrepreneurship event.
