The Department of Foreign Affairs and European Affairs (Hon. Deborah Bergamini), together with the Department of International Cooperation (Lawyer Raffaella Bonsangue) of Forza Italia, hosted a high-level conference in Rome on the theme ‘Africa, the Womb of the World: Italy Leading Relations with the EU.’
The event, chaired by Antonio Tajani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Vice President of the Council of Ministers, and National Secretary of Forza Italia, focused on promoting a stronger partnership between Africa and Europe.
Held at the prestigious Sala delle Bandiere at the European Parliament in Italy, the conference attracted African diplomats in Italy, politicians, and experts to discuss ways to create an extraordinary synergy between Africa and the European Union.
Senator Cav. Tony Iwobi, a member of the Italian Parliament of Nigerian and African oringin, collaborated with Dr. De Romanis (Head of the Tourism Department of Forza Italia) in coordinating the event alongside his colleagues, offering a unique perspective on the challenges and opportunities in African-European relations.

A Vision for Partnership and Growth
The conference addressed key issues such as economic cooperation, cultural exchange, migration, and sustainable development. Discussions centered on how Italy and the EU can build a more balanced and mutually beneficial partnership with African nations. Emphasis was placed on empowering African economies, fostering innovation, and creating pathways for cultural and educational exchanges.
