In a significant move to enhance transportation in Lagos, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has announced the expansion of the Red Line Rail Service’s capacity. Starting tomorrow, the service will offer five morning and four evening trips daily, up from its current two-morning trips, providing Lagosians with more efficient and convenient commuting options between Agbado and Oyingbo.
With a total travel time of just 50 minutes and only two-minute waiting intervals at each station, the Red Line is designed to transform the daily commute. The improved schedule ensures faster travel and reduces congestion, reaffirming the government’s commitment to delivering world-class transport solutions for Lagos residents.

“This milestone reflects our dedication to improving mobility across Lagos,” the governor noted. The recent arrival of three additional train sets will further boost the Red Line’s capacity, positioning it as a key component of the state’s integrated transport network.
