Farooq Oreagba, fondly dubbed the “King of Steeze”, reaffirmed his status as a cultural style icon today during the 2025 edition of the Ojude Oba Festival held at the palace arcade of His Royal Majesty, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, the Awujale and Paramount Ruler of Ijebuland.
Oreagba made a spectacular entrance that electrified the massive crowd gathered for the festival’s grand finale. Clad in a radiant yellow Aso-Oke ensemble, complemented by his signature cigar and exuding his characteristic charm and confidence, he turned heads and effortlessly diverted attention from the larger procession to himself and his entourage.

About Ojude Oba Festival
Held annually in Ijebu-Ode, Ogun State, Ojude Oba is a vibrant Yoruba cultural and religious festival that brings together indigenes and admirers from around the world to pay homage to the Awujale. With roots dating back over a century, it is traditionally held on the third day after Eid al-Kabir (Ileya) and features horse-riding regalia, colorful parades, age-grade performances (Regberegbe), fashion exhibitions, and tributes to Ijebu heritage.
This year’s edition witnessed the presence of several dignitaries, including the Minister of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, Hon. Hannatu Musa Musawa, as well as traditional rulers, captains of industry, and cultural enthusiasts.
