Mozambique will host the Africa Diplomatic Tourism and Investment Forum (ADTIF) 2025, a continent-wide event set to take place from 20 to 22 August 2025 at the Joaquim Chissano International Conference Centre in Maputo.
Organised by the African Tourism Board (ATB) in collaboration with the African Union Sixth Region Global (AU6RG), the Economic Community Africa Sixth Region (ECASR), and the African Travel Commission (ATC), the forum will bring together government leaders, diplomats, investors, private sector representatives, and members of the African diaspora to discuss the role of tourism and investment in Africa’s sustainable development.
According to Cuthbert Ncube, Chairman of the African Tourism Board, ADTIF 2025 marks a milestone in advancing Africa’s economic diplomacy and provides a strategic opportunity to enhance intra-African mobility, drive investment in tourism, and strengthen collaboration between nations and the diaspora. “This event will not only strengthen relations between governments and the private sector but also create real opportunities for tourism growth and Africa’s economic integration,” he stated.
ADTIF 2025 takes place in a year of great significance for the continent, highlighting the vital role of the diaspora in Africa’s growth. Hosting the event in Mozambique aligns with the celebration of the country’s 50th Independence Anniversary, making it a symbolic moment to foster African cooperation and drive new economic opportunities.
The event is expected to attract over 500 high-level delegates from across Africa and the diaspora, alongside 4,000 visitors to the exhibition, with a global media reach. Representatives from key countries, including Algeria, Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, Egypt, Kenya, Ethiopia, Morocco, Eswatini, Tanzania, Guinea-Bissau, São Tomé and Príncipe, Cape Verde, Angola among others will be in attendance, reflecting the diversity and strength of the continent on the global stage.
Over three days, ADTIF 2025 will serve as a platform for dialogue, negotiations, and partnership-building, featuring high-level sessions, strategic panels, and a diplomatic and business exhibition. The programme will cover key topics essential to Africa’s integration and growth, including:

AfCFTA, SAATM, and the African Passport as Enablers of Tourism and Trade

The forum will bring together high-ranking government officials, private sector leaders, and diplomatic representatives, including Mozambican government authorities and African institutions, reinforcing the need for cooperation to advance tourism and investment across the continent.
With an expected 4,000 exhibition visitors, the event will also provide a unique platform for businesses, tourism boards, and industry leaders to showcase investment opportunities, tourism products, and innovative solutions driving Africa’s economic transformation.
